White Sox make two roster moves

TORONTO – Prior to tonight’s series opener at Toronto, the Chicago White Sox placed All-Star shortstop Tim Anderson on the 10-day injured list (retroactive to May 30) with a strained right groin and reinstated outfielder Luis Robert from the Covid-19 Related injury list.

Anderson, 28, suffered the injury in Sunday’s victory over the Cubs. He is batting .356/.393/.503 (58-163) with nine doubles, five home runs, 19 RBI, 24 runs scored and eight stolen bases in 40 games this season. Anderson is tied for the American League lead with 20 multihit games and ranks third in average.

Robert, 24, was placed on the injured list on May 24. He is batting .285/.319/.438 (39-137) with three doubles, six home runs, 17 RBI, six stolen bases and 21 runs scored in 33 games this season.
