REDDIES REPORT
Henderson got its seventh conference win of the season against East Central, defeating the Tigers 66-61 inside the Kerr Activities Center. Ashley Farrar led the way scoring 25 points off the bench, followed by Abbie Jiles, who had 12.
Â
The Reddies went with a new starting five against ECU, with true freshmen Olivia Allen and Brynlee Huggins getting their first starts of the season. Alee McClendon got her third start, while Jiles and Gracie Raby remained in the lineup. Â
Â
Jill Thomas‘ team ranks third in the GAC in rebounding, as the team is averaging 38.6 per game. HSU won the battle at the glass against ECU, outrebounding the Tigers 31-20, led by Farrar and Jiles, who both had eight. The Reddies are 8-1 when they win the rebound battle and 2-7 when they have fewer than their opponents.
Â
With ten games remaining in conference play, Henderson sits in fifth place with a 7-5 conference record. Just ahead of HSU are Arkansas Tech and Oklahoma Baptist at 8-4. Both teams still have to visit the Duke Wells Center for a showdown with the Reddies in the coming weeks as HSU looks to climb the league standings.
Â
Henderson and Southeastern Oklahoma State will meet for the 27th time when they take the court in the Bloomer Sullivan Arena. Last season the Reddies swept the Savage Storm, including a 57-49 win in Durant. HSU came from behind that evening and had a big fourth period, outscoring SE 27-11 to win. The Reddies lead the head-to-head series 14-12.

SCOUTING SOUTHEASTERN OKLAHOMA STATE
The Savage Storm have hit a rough patch after their win over Harding earlier this season, losing six straight contests. Southeastern Oklahoma State fell to Ouachita Baptist on Thursday 71-62. SE currently sits last in the GAC with a 2-10 conference record and 4-13 overall.
Â
Southeastern Oklahoma State had four players reach double-digit scoring figures against Ouachita Baptist, led by Caitlin Kobiske, with 15 points. The Savage Storm’s top scorer Briley Moon scored 14 against OUA and is scoring 16.9 an outing.
Â
SE is averaging 58.2 points a game this season, which is the lowest among any GAC team. This season, the Savage Storm has only eclipsed 70 points once in a win over Midwestern State, 71-65. While the Southeastern Oklahoma State does not score many points, they also give up the fourth-fewest points in the GAC (64.2). SE is led by sophomore forward Holli Lindley, who is averaging 0.8 blocks a game.
