HOUSTON – The National Women’s Soccer League announced this week that two Houston Dash players have received league honors.

Forward Rachel Daly has been named to the league’s Best XI of the Month presented by Mastercard. Daly, who has played in every game this regular season, scored in three straight games in May to help Houston match its franchise-best start to a season. The England international scored four goals and recorded an assist during the month, which featured three of five games on the road. Daly capped off the month by reaching 100 career regular-season appearances for the Dash on May 29 against the North Carolina Courage. She became just the second player in franchise history to reach the milestone. Daly has joined the England Women’s National Team as they prepare for the UEFA Women’s European Championship which will be held in England this summer.

Forward Nichelle Prince was named the NWSL’s Player of the Week presented by Budweiser for Week 6 after her performance against the Orlando Pride on June 3. Prince scored three times in the 5-0 win at home, recording the first hat trick in Dash history. The Canadian international has started every game this season and has helped the Dash to its best start in franchise history as well as Houston’s longest unbeaten streak.

Prince and the Dash host Portland on June 12 for Houston’s annual Pride Night game at PNC Stadium. For more information about the match and how to attend please click here
