MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL, MN – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have returned left-handed pitcher Danny Coulombe from his rehab assignment and reinstated him from the 15-day Injured List.

Coulombe, who missed the Twins’ last 15 games with left hip impingement, appeared in two games on rehab assignment with Triple-A St. Paul, allowing one run on two hits in 2.0 innings pitched, with one walk and one strikeout. Prior to landing on the Injured List, he appeared in nine games for the Twins, posting a 0.75 ERA (12.0 IP, 1 ER) with seven walks, nine strikeouts and a 1.00 WHIP.

To make room for Coulombe on the 26-man roster, the Twins have placed outfielder Gilberto Celestino on the COVID Injured List. Celestino played in 31 games for the Twins this season, hitting .324 (24-for-74) with four doubles, four RBI, 10 runs scored, seven walks and a .398 on-base percentage.
