Gilberto Celestino optioned to Triple-A St. Paul
MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL, MN – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have reinstated outfielder Rob Refsnyder from the 7-day Injured List.
Refsnyder, who suffered a concussion after colliding with the centerfield wall on May 31 in Baltimore, has hit .320 (16-for-50) with three doubles, two home runs, nine RBI, 10 runs scored, four walks and an .864 OPS in 16 games this season, while the Twins were 9-5 with him in the starting lineup.
To make room on the 26-man roster, the Twins have optioned outfielder Gilberto Celestino to Triple-A St. Paul. The 22-year-old outfielder was recalled on June 2, made his major league debut that night in Baltimore and played in four games, going 0-for-12 with four strikeouts.
