Gilberto Celestino optioned to Triple-A St. Paul

 

ST. LOUIS, MO – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have reinstated infielder/outfielder Luis Arraez from the 10-day Injured List.

 

Arraez, who missed the last nine games with a right knee strain, has hit .305 (74-for-243) with nine doubles, four triples, one home run, 23 RBI, 39 runs scored, 24 walks, a .368 on-base percentage and a .754 OPS in 68 games for the Twins this season.

 

To make room on the 26-man roster, the Twins have optioned outfielder Gilberto Celestino to Triple-A St. Paul. Celestino has played in 23 games for the Twins this season across three stints, with three doubles, two home runs, three RBI, three walks and seven runs scored.
