Gilberto Celestino optioned to Triple-A St. Paul
MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, MN – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have reinstated infielder Jorge Polanco from the Bereavement List.
Polanco, who was placed on the Bereavement List on Sunday, has played in 68 games for the Twins this season, hitting .260 (66-for-254) with 15 doubles, 12 home runs, 41 RBI, 31 runs scored, 31 walks, a .341 on-base percentage, a .461 slugging percentage and an .802 OPS.
To make room for Polanco on the 28-man roster, the Twins have optioned outfielder Gilberto Celestino to Triple-A St. Paul. Celestino did not appear for the Twins during his recent stint with Minnesota.
