Elliot Soto designated for release or assignment
SEATTLE, WA – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have returned right-handed pitcher Joe Ryan from his rehab assignment and reinstated him from the COVID Injured List.
Ryan has missed the Twins’ last 20 games since going on the Injured List on May 25. He made one rehab start for Triple-A St. Paul on June 9 vs. Rochester, tossing 3.0 scoreless innings with one hit allowed and four strikeouts.
To make room on the 26-man roster, the Twins have designated infielder Elliot Soto for release or assignment. Soto had his contract selected yesterday from the Saints and did not appear in a game.
