Jharel Cotton designated for release or assignment
OAKLAND, CA – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have reinstated right-handed pitcher Dylan Bundy from the COVID Injured List.
Bundy has missed the Twins’ last 10 games since going on the COVID Injury List on May 6. He has started in five games for the Twins this season, going 3-2 with a 5.76 ERA (25.0 IP, 16 ER), five walks and 22 strikeouts. He will start tonight’s game against the Oakland Athletics.
To make room for Bundy on the 26-man roster, the Twins have designated right-handed pitcher Jharel Cotton for release or assignment. Cotton, 30, made four relief appearances for the Twins over two stints with the club, going 0-1 with a 1.35 ERA (6.2 IP, 1 ER), six walks and seven strikeouts.
