Jovani Moran optioned to Triple-A St. Paul
MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, MN – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have recalled left-handed pitcher Brent Headrick from Triple-A St. Paul.
Headrick, 25, has made five starts for the Saints since returning there in July, going 0-1 with a 6.19 ERA (16.0 IP, 11 ER), 11 walks and 13 strikeouts in that span. This is his third stint with the Twins this season, going 2-0 with a 5.40 ERA (15.0 IP, 9 ER), seven walks, 18 strikeouts, one save and a 1.27 WHIP in eight relief appearances.
To make room for Headrick on the 26-man roster, the Twins have optioned left-handed pitcher Jovani Moran to the Saints. Moran has gone 2-2 with a 5.31 ERA (42.1 IP, 25 ER), 27 walks, 48 strikeouts and nine holds in 43 games for the Twins this season.
