Griffin Jax recalled from Triple-A St. Paul
MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL, MN – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have placed right-handed pitcher Randy Dobnak on the 10-day Injured List with a right middle finger strain, retroactive to June 21.
Dobnak has pitched in 13 games for the Twins this season (5 starts), going 1-6 with a 7.83 ERA (43.2 IP, 38 ER), 12 walks, 25 strikeouts and one save.
To replace Dobnak on the 26-man roster, the Twins have recalled right-handed pitcher Griffin Jax from Triple-A St. Paul. Jax, who made his major league debut on June 8, posted an 8.64 ERA (8.1 IP, 8 ER) with three walks and nine strikeouts in his first stint with the Twins. In five starts for the Saints this season, the right-hander has gone 3-1 with a 3.33 ERA (27.0 IP, 10 ER), 10 walks and 29 strikeouts.
