Toronto Blue Jays compete five roster transactions

The Toronto Blue Jays have made the following roster moves:

  •  SS Bo Bichette has been reinstated from the 10-day injured list (right calf strain) and will be active for tonight’s game
  •  OF Steward Berroa has been recalled from Triple-A Buffalo and will be active for tonight’s game
  •  INF Will Wagner has been placed on the 60-day injured list (left knee inflammation)
  •  OF Daulton Varsho has been placed on the 10-day injured list (right shoulder strain), retroactive to Sept. 14

Additionally, RHP Nick Robertson has been claimed off waivers from the Los Angeles Angels and has been optioned to Triple-A Buffalo.

Robertson, 26, appeared in eight contests for St. Louis earlier this season, before being claimed by the Angels. Between the Majors and the Triple-A level, has appeared in 39 games posting a 6.51 ERA with an 11.8% walk rate, a 23.6% strikeout rate, and a 30.7% chase rate. The 6-6, 235 lb. right-handed reliever was selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 7th round of the 2019 First-Year Player Draft out of James Madison University, eventually making his MLB debut in 2023. The Roanoke, VA, native has made a total of 26 MLB appearances (one start) between the Dodgers, Red Sox, and Cardinals, posting a 5.45 ERA over 34.2 innings with 40 strikeouts and a 32% chase rate.
