  • Right-handed pitcher Gerson Garabito (#58) recalled from Triple-A Round Rock.
  • Right-handed pitcher Daniel Robert optioned to Triple-A Round Rock.

Garabito, 28, allowed one earned run over 5.2 innings spanning 3 appearances (one start) during previous stint with the Rangers this season (May 26-June 7), making his Major League debut in a start on May 26 at Minnesota (3.2 IP, 2 H, 1 R-ER, 4 BB, 2 SO). The right-hander has held opponents to a .200 (4-for-20) batting average, including a .111 (1-for-9) mark against opposing left-handers, in his brief Major League career.

The San Cristobal, Dominican Republic native has spent the balance of the campaign in the minor leagues, going 1-4 with a 3.44 ERA (20 ER/52.1 IP) over 12 games (9 starts) with Frisco (AA) and Round Rock (AAA). His last appearance came in a start on July 10, as he did not factor into the decision of an 8-7 Express victory over Reno (2.2 IP, 7 H, 4 R-ER, 1 BB, 5 SO, 2 HR, 69 pitches/41 strikes). Garabito was signed by Texas to a minor league contract on December 18, 2023.

The 29-year-old Robert made his Major League debut on July 10 at Los Angeles-AL (1.2 IP, 2 H, 2 R-ER, HR, BB, 2 SO) after having his contract selected July 8, and has compiled a 3.86 ERA (2 ER/4.2 IP) with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts over 3 relief outings for Texas this season. He last appeared in Saturday night’s loss to Baltimore, tossing 45 pitches over 2.0 scoreless innings (3 H, BB, 2 HBP, 2 SO).

With today’s transactions, the Rangers have 39 players on the club’s Major League roster, along with seven players on the 60-day Injured List: Cody Bradford, Carson Coleman, Jacob deGrom, Josh Jung, Tyler Mahle, Austin Pruitt, Cole Winn.
