Minnesota Twins place Kody Funderburk on 15-day injured list

Ronny Henriquez recalled from Triple-A St. Paul

MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, MN – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have placed left-handed pitcher Kody Funderburk on the 15-day Injured List (retroactive to July 18) with a left oblique strain.

Funderburk, 27, has gone 1-0 with a 5.61 ERA (33.2 IP, 21 ER), one save, 15 walks, 31 strikeouts and a 1.51 WHIP in 26 appearances for the Twins this season. This is his first career stint on a major league Injured List.

To replace Funderburk on the 26-man roster, the Twins have recalled right-handed pitcher Ronny Henriquez from Triple-A St. Paul. Henriquez, 24, has gone 1-2 with a 3.63 ERA (44.2 IP, 18 ER), three saves, 13 walks, 46 strikeouts and a 1.37 WHIP in 28 games (1 start) for the Saints this season. This is his third stint with the Twins in 2024, after making scoreless appearances on April 22 vs. Chicago-AL (2.0 IP, 2 H, 1 BB, 2 K) and on June 26 at Arizona (1.0 IP, 1 K).
