SEATTLE, WASH. – Seattle Reign FC announced today that forward Veronica Latsko has suffered a torn Achilles tendon and will be placed on the season-ending injury (SEI) list. The injury occurred during the second half of the team’s opening preseason match at the Coachella Valley Invitational against Bay FC on February 16.

“We are heartbroken for Veronica,” said head coach Laura Harvey. “Throughout her career, she has demonstrated incredible resilience, dedication, and hard work on the field. She invested so much preparation for this season. While this setback is tough, we have no doubt Veronica will approach her recovery with the same determination and grit she displays every day. The entire club is fully behind her and will support her every step of the way.”

Latsko, a seasoned NWSL veteran, was preparing for her eighth season in the league. She has made 108 regular season appearances, tallying 15 goals and seven assists during her career.
