Revolution Sign Carter Theogene ahead of 2022 eMLS Season

27-year-old from Allston, Mass. joins New England as professional esports representative

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution have signed Carter Theogene as the club’s official eMLS competitor ahead of the 2022 eMLS season. Theogene, who plays under the gamertag YounggCarter, hails from Allston, Mass. and will be making his professional esports debut when the 2022 eMLS season kicks off in January.

Theogene, 27, joins the Revolution to make his professional esports debut after more than five years of competitive FIFA experience. Currently a full-time computer engineering and computer science student at Boston University, where he plays club soccer, Theogene has been playing FIFA since the age of 10 and began his competitive FIFA Ultimate Team career in 2017. With more than 15 overall years of FIFA experience, Theogene’s journey to the professional ranks intensified in 2019 when he launched his Road to Pro (#RTP) campaign via his Twitch channel.

“I am so excited to join the New England Revolution as the club’s representative in eMLS,” Theogene said. “It has long been a dream of mine to compete on the professional stage and I look forward to giving my all for the club during the season ahead. Bring the fight!”

Theogene currently resides in Brockton, Mass. and has spent the last six years working as a chess teacher and software developer. A native of Haiti, Theogene is fluent in four languages: English, Spanish, French, and Creole.

The 2022 eMLS season is set to begin on January 15 with the eMLS League Series 1 Qualifiers at TQL Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio. The eMLS League Series 2 Qualifiers are slated for January 29 at Soldier Field in Chicago, Ill. The 2022 season culminates on March 13 with the eMLS Cup taking place in Austin, Texas.
