BOSTON, MA—The Boston Red Sox have signed six players selected in the 2022 MLB First-Year Player Draft: shortstops Mikey Romero (1st round) and Cutter Coffey (2nd round) and right-handed pitchers Alex Hoppe (6th round), Caleb Bolden (7th round), Jonathan Brand (8th round), and Isaac Coffey (10th round).
In addition, the club has signed two undrafted free agents: catcher Matthew Donlan out of the University of Connecticut and shortstop Bryant Zayas out of Miami Christian High School (FL).
All signees will report to Fort Myers, FL.
