Red Sox recall right-handed pitcher Colten Brewer from Triple-A Worcester

BOSTON, MA – The Boston Red Sox today recalled right-handed pitcher Colten Brewer from Triple-A Worcester.

Chief Baseball Officer Chaim Bloom made the announcement.

Brewer, 28, is in his second major league stint of the season, having also been recalled from Worcester prior to the Red Sox’ May 15 game against the Los Angeles Angels. He has made four relief appearances for the WooSox this season, allowing four runs on four hits in 4.0 innings. The right-hander made four starts and seven relief appearances for Boston in 2020, posting a 3.97 ERA (5 ER/11.1 IP) in relief. Brewer is 2-5 with a 4.70 ERA (47 ER/90.0 IP) in 80 career appearances between the San Diego Padres (2018) and Red Sox (2019-20).
