Ariel Lassiter scored Miami’s opening goal in its 2-0 win over the Red Bulls on Sunday, his fifth career MLS goal. It was Lassiter’s first goal as a starter (25th start) as his first four goals were all scored as a substitute.
Portland has struggled in the first half of games this season, scoring just four times before halftime, tied for second fewest in MLS (Vancouver – 3). Sixteen of Portland’s 20 goals this season (80%) have been scored after halftime, the highest percentage in the league in 2022.
