MLS Preview: Chicago Fire (2-0-3) at Orlando City SC (2-2-2)

Orlando City and Chicago drew, 0-0, at Soldier Field on March 5, just the second draw in the last nine meetings between the sides (Orlando W2, Chicago W5). The Lions have won their last two home matches against the Fire after failing to win any of the first five (D3 L2).

Orlando City has lost consecutive home matches for the first time since May-July 2019. The Lions haven’t lost three in a row at home since May-June 2018, a run that included a 2-1 defeat to the Fire.

Chicago kept its fourth clean sheet of the season in a scoreless draw with Dallas on Saturday. The Fire’s one goal allowed through five games ties the MLS record as they’re the fourth team to do so (Columbus 2020, Sporting Kansas City 2012, LA Galaxy 2010).

All seven of Orlando City’s goals so far this season have come from open play as they’re the only MLS team without a set piece goal in 2022. The Fire are one of two teams (Philadelphia) that has not conceded a set piece goal this season.

Kacper Przybylko has scored six career goals against Orlando City, including three in Orlando. Since Przybylko entered the league in 2019, he is the only visiting player to score three regular-season goals at Exploria Stadium.
