Pittsburgh Pirates complete four roster transactions

The Pittsburgh Pirates today ended the rehab assignment of left-handed pitcher Marco Gonzales and reinstated him from the 60-day injured list (left forearm muscle strain).

Right-handed pitcher Brent Honeywell Jr. has been designated for assignment to make room for Gonzales on the 26- and 40-man rosters.

Right-handed pitcher David Bednar also had his rehab assignment ended today and has been reinstated from the 15-day injured list.

Right-handed pitcher Ryder Ryan has been optioned to Triple-A Indianapolis to make room for Bednar on the active roster.
