Pittsburgh Pirates complete four roster transactions

The Pittsburgh Pirates today placed catcher Joey Bart on the 10-day injured list with a left hamstring strain.

Catcher Henry Davis has been recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis.

The Pirates also ended the rehab assignment of infielder Nick Gonzales and reinstated him from the injured list (left groin strain).

In addition, right-handed pitcher Jake Woodford has been designated for assignment.

Davis reached base safely in each of his last 12 Triple-A games from August 9-24, going 17-for-49 (.347) with 10 RBI, seven walks, a .429 OBP and .939 OPS.

Davis hit .307 (67-for-218) with 15 doubles, 13 home runs, 43 RBI, a .401 on-base percentage and a .956 OPS in 57 games overall this season with Indianapolis.

Gonzales went 5-for-15 with a home run and four runs scored in four games on his rehab assignment with Indianapolis.

There are currently 39 players on Pittsburgh’s 40-man roster.
