The Pittsburgh Pirates have announced that the following players will attend Major League camp as non-roster invitees:
Omar Alfonzo (C)
- Ranking: Pittsburgh’s No. 18 prospect (Baseball America)
- 2024 Stats: .252 average, 97 hits, 17 doubles, 1 triple, 13 home runs, and 46 RBI in 110 games (Bradenton and Greensboro)
Hunter Barco (LHP)
- 2024 Stats: Combined 4-2 record, 3.27 ERA, 83 strikeouts, and a .204 batting average against in 18 appearances (16 starts) with Greensboro and Altoona
- Draft: Selected 44th overall in the 2022 First-Year Player Draft
Ryan Borucki (LHP)
- MLB Stats: 4-0 record, 3.51 ERA in 52 appearances (two starts) over parts of two seasons with the Pirates
- 2024: Missed 126 games due to left triceps inflammation
Jack Brannigan (INF)
- 2024 Stats: Finished fourth in the South Atlantic League with 18 home runs
- Ranking: Rated as having the “Best Infield Arm” in the Pirates minor league system (Baseball America)
Bubba Chandler (RHP)
- Ranking: No. 7 among Baseball America’s top 100 prospects
- 2024 Stats: Led all Pirates minor leaguers with 148 strikeouts, 10-7 record, 3.08 ERA in 26 appearances (23 starts) between Altoona and Indianapolis
Matt Gorski (OF)
- 2024 Stats: .257 average, 100 hits, 24 doubles, 5 triples, 23 home runs, and 67 RBI with Indianapolis
- Home Runs: Leads all Pirates minor leaguers in home runs (84) since the beginning of 2021
Konnor Griffin (INF)
- Ranking: No. 43 among MLB Pipeline’s top 100 prospects
- Awards: Named Baseball America’s High School Player of the Year in 2024
Thomas Harrington (RHP)
- 2024 Stats: 7-3 record, 2.61 ERA, 115 strikeouts in 22 appearances (21 starts) between Altoona, Indianapolis, and Bradenton
- Ranking: No. 74 among Baseball America’s top 100 prospects
Termarr Johnson (INF)
- Ranking: No. 83 among MLB Pipeline’s top 100 prospects
- 2024 Stats: Second in the South Atlantic League in walks (78), third in runs scored (73), fifth in OBP (.372) with Greensboro
Aaron McKeithan (C)
- 2024 Stats: .264 average, 43 hits, 5 doubles, 1 triple, 1 home run, and 16 RBI in 55 games with Double-A Springfield
- Draft: Selected in the AAA Phase of the Minor League Rule 5 Draft in December 2024
Ryder Ryan (RHP)
- 2024: Made 15 appearances with the Pirates, picking up a win with 1.2 scoreless innings of relief in his debut on March 29 at Miami
Anthony Solometo (LHP)
- 2024 Stats: 1-7 record, 5.98 ERA in 20 appearances (17 starts) with Altoona
- Ranking: No. 82 among MLB Pipeline’s top 100 prospects
DJ Stewart (OF)
- 2024 Stats: .177 average, 28 hits, 4 doubles, 5 home runs, and 19 RBI in 74 games with the Mets
- MLB Career: .212 average, 34 doubles, 42 home runs, and 118 RBI in 327 games with Baltimore and the Mets
Sean Sullivan (RHP)
- 2024 Stats: 2-5 record, 3.84 ERA, 57 strikeouts in 15 appearances (13 starts) with Altoona
- Injury: Missed the remainder of the 2024 season due to right shoulder soreness
