Outfielder Jake Marisnick has been placed on the 10-day injured list (left thumb injury).

RHP Max Kranick has been recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis. Kranick is in his second stint with the Pirates this season. He served as the 27th man for Saturday’s doubleheader in Cincinnati and pitched 2.0 scoreless innings in game two.

Kranick began the season on Pittsburgh‘s 10-day injured list with a right forearm strain. He began a rehab assignment with Bradenton on 4/12 and threw 24 pitches in 2.0ip vs. Lakeland.

His rehab was transferred on 4/22 to Indianapolis, where he made two appearances before being returned from rehab and reinstated from the I.L. on 4/29.

In three total appearances (two starts) with Indy, Max went 0-1 with a 2.70 ERA (6.2ip/5h/3r/2er/2bb/4so).

Kranick will be wearing uniform #45.

In addition, RHP Duane Underwood Jr. has had his rehab assignment transferred from Indianapolis to Double-A Altoona.

Underwood, Jr. has been on the I.L. since 4/9 with a right hamstring strain.
