The Pittsburgh Pirates placed left-handed pitcher Dillon Peters on the 15-day injured list yesterday (retro to June 3) with a low back strain.
In a corresponding move, left-handed pitcher Aaron Fletcher has been recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis.
This is Fletcher’s third stint with the Pirates this season. He was a member of the team’s Opening Day roster before being optioned to Triple-A on May 3 while also serving as the 27th man in Pittsburgh’s doubleheader on May 4.
Prior to being promoted back to the Pirates, Fletcher went 1-1 with a 0.82 ERA (11.0ip/12h/4r/1er/3bb/5so) in eight appearances with Indianapolis.
Fletcher will wear uniform #35.
