Right-handed pitcher Andrew Painter underwent successful right elbow ulnar collateral ligament reconstruction with ulnar nerve transposition surgery with Dr. Neil ElAttrache today in Los Angeles, Calif.
Painter will return to Clearwater, Fla., later this week to begin his rehabilitation. The typical timeline for a return to play is 15 to 18 months.
