Club sends outfielder Adam Haseley to Chicago in exchange for Moore
The Phillies have acquired right-handed pitcher McKinley Moore from the Chicago White Sox in exchange for outfielder Adam Haseley, President of Baseball Operations David Dombrowski announced today.
Moore, 23, appeared in 37 combined games last season for High-A Winston-Salem and Low-A Kannapolis. He posted a 4.20 ERA (19 ER, 40.2 IP) and struck out 59 of the 181 batters he faced (32.6%). He also appeared in 10 games for Glendale in the Arizona Fall League and struck out nine batters in 10.2 innings of work.
A 6-foot-6 native of Houston, Texas, Moore was originally selected by the White Sox in the 14th round of the June 2019 draft out of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
Haseley, 25, appeared in 116 games for the Phillies over the last three seasons. He was originally selected in the first round (8th overall) of the June 2017 draft out of the University of Virginia.
