The Homegrown will join the USL club on loan for the remainder of the 2021 season
CHESTER, Pa. – Philadelphia Union announced today that the club has loaned Homegrown midfielder Cole Turner to USL club, El Paso Locomotive FC, for the remainder of the season.
Turner signed a Homegrown contract with the Union that became effective on January 1, 2020. He played in two matches with the first team over the last two seasons, making his debut in a 4-0 win over Montreal on September 20, 2020. Prior to signing with the first team, the former Union Academy player and YSC Academy graduate played for the Union’s second team, Union II. In 2019, Turner made 25 appearances for Union II, starting 22 of those and contributing two assists.
The 20-year-old joins the USL side who currently sit in first place in the Mountain Division with 47 points and hold a record of 13-2-8 thus far.
