SEATTLE, WA. – OL Reign has exercised its option on forward Veronica Latsko’s contract, keeping her at the club through the 2024 season, the club announced today.
“I’m really grateful to be staying in this environment and with this team for another season,” said Latsko. “Laura truly brings out the best of us and it’s so fun to play in front of our fans at Lumen. I look forward to growing with this club for another year!”
Latsko has made 12 appearances in the 2023 regular season, earning seven starts. Just over halfway through the regular season, the veteran is currently tied for her single-season record in both goals (4) and assists (2) in her 713 minutes of playing time. The sixth-year forward has also started in all four of OL Reign’s 2023 UKG NWSL Challenge Cup games, helping the club remain undefeated throughout the tournament.
After signing with OL Reign in 2022, Latsko appeared in 20 of 22 regular season matches, earning nine starts and scoring one goal, which occurred against the Houston Dash – her former club. She ended the 2022 season as one of nine players to appear in at least 20 matches for OL Reign.
The Venetia, Pennsylvania native has appeared in 79 regular season games (40 starts) throughout her six years in the NWSL, recording 12 goals and six assists.
“We’re excited to keep Veronica with the club for another year,” said OL Reign head coach Laura Harvey. “Since joining the club, she has played exceptionally well and we know we can always rely on her to put in a solid performance.”
