Angel City midfielder Savannah McCaskill played in her 80th career NWSL regular season game and walked away with a goal and an assist as she helped her side defeat Gotham FC in their last time out. The occasion marked the first time in McCaskill’s career that she had a goal and assist in the same match.

Match facts: Closing out the weekend’s slate is a match between the Houston Dash and Angel City FC as the hosts Houston aim to continue setting the pace in the Road to the Shield race. Currently, Houston sits in second place (29 points) with the leaders San Diego holding a two-point advantage on the same amount of games played (18).

The Dash drew 2-2 with the Spirit in their last match, marking the first time this season that Houston failed to win when scoring multiple goals (W8). In spite of the draw, Houston still has the highest points per game average (2.78) of any NWSL team when scoring multiple goals this season.

On the other side, Angel City’s 3-1 road win over Gotham FC in the team’s last match was the first multi-goal win in team history. So far in their inaugural season, 14 of ACFC’s 16 matches have been decided by one goal or less.

Limited history exists between the two sides, with Angel City and Houston playing to a scoreless draw in June as the Dash hit the woodwork twice and were left frustrated not to collect all three points. Angel City’s opponents have hit the woodwork 12 different times this season, which is the most in the NWSL.
