NEW YORK – The National Hockey League today issued the following statement regarding Arizona Coyotes’ minority owner Andrew Barroway:
“The National Hockey League is aware of the arrest of Arizona Coyotes’ minority owner Andrew Barroway. Pending further information, he has been suspended indefinitely.”
According to a report from the Aspen Daily News, minority owner Andrew Barroway of the Arizona Coyotes was arrested on Thursday in Aspen and charged with felony strangulation and misdemeanor second-degree assault.
At 9:35 a.m. on Thursday, Barroway, 57, was taken into custody by police at the Limelight Hotel on Monarch Street. Barroway was transported to the Pitkin County Jail, where he remained until Friday morning, when he posted a $2,500 bond.
