Recap: Despite begin outshot 44-19, the Jets left Los Angeles with a 6-4 victory against the Kings on Thursday night… Adam Lowry (1G, 1A) and Morgan Barron (2A) led the Jets with two points each, as 12 different members of the Jets found the scoresheet… Axel Jonsson-Fjällby scored his first goal in a Jets uniform at 14:23 of the third period, which was the game-winning goal… Connor Hellebuyck turned away 40 shots for the second time this season in his second consecutive win.

Aside from opening the season at Canada Life Centre, other highlights of the home schedule include Patrik Laine and the Columbus Blue Jackets coming to Winnipeg on Dec. 2… Former head coach Paul Maurice, after nine seasons as the Jets bench boss, brings his new team – the President Trophy winning Florida Panthers – to Canada Life Centre on Dec. 6… The longest homestand of the season is the final one on the schedule, which spans five games from Mar. 31-Apr. 10… Winnipeg doesn’t play from Jan. 31-Feb. 10, as the NHL All-Star Weekend takes place on Feb. 3-4 in Florida, followed by the club’s five-day player break… January also features the Jets’ longest road trip of the campaign, as they will play five straight contests away from Manitoba from Jan. 17-24… December is the team’s busiest month, with the Jets playing 16 games in total – nine at home and seven on the road. Two of the Jets four wins have come by at least three goals, while all three of Winnipeg’s losses this season have come by three goals… Winnipeg finished last season 12-5-11 in one-goal games… Meanwhile, the Jets were 10-12 in games decided by two goals and 17-15 in games decided by three goals or more.

Zeros
The Jets registered their first shutout of the season on Monday against St. Louis… The Jets had five shutouts last season, which is two shy of the franchise record… The Jets beat the Seattle Kraken on Dec. 9 and Detroit Red Wings on Jan. 13 by a 3-0 score, while they shut out Minnesota 2-0 on Jan. 8, Vegas 4-0 on Mar. 22, and Philadelphia 4-0 on Apr. 27.

KC Wins The Byng
Kyle Connor won the NHL’s Lady Byng Trophy last season, given ”to the player adjudged to have exhibited the best type of sportsmanship and gentlemanly conduct combined with a high standard of playing ability.”… Connor had just four penalty minutes en route to tallying 93 points (47G, 46A).

Kyle Connor finished third in franchise history with 47 goals last season. The most goals in a season in franchise history is 52, which Ilya Kovalchuk did in 2005-06 and 2007-08. Connor passed Patrik Laine (44 in 2017-18) for the most goals in a season since relocation… Kyle Connor ended the season fourth in franchise history with 93 points last season, which is the most since relocation. It’s the eighth time in franchise history a player has reached the 90-point mark in a season… Pierre-Luc Dubois’ 15 power play goals ended the season tied for eighth in franchise history and are the most since Patrik Laine had 15 power play tallies in 2018-19… Kyle Connor and Adam Lowry each had three shorthanded goals this season, which ranks tied for fourth in franchise history. Only three players in franchise history have scored four or more shorthanded goals in a season.

On the Farm
The Manitoba Moose are 4-0-1 on the season after sweeping a three-game, three-night road trip last weekend… The Moose are first in the AHL’s Central Division… Jansen Harkins leads the Moose and is seventh in AHL scoring with seven points (4G, 3A) in four games… Manitoba welcomes the Iowa Wild to Canada Life Centre on Saturday and Sunday to begin a six-game homestand.

Season Series
This is Winnipeg’s only trip to Arizona in the three games between the two sides this season… The Jets entertain the Coyotes on Jan. 15 and Mar. 21 at Canada Life Centre.
