Recap: The Jets scored twice in the first period and hung on to beat the Arizona Coyotes 2-1 at Canada Life Centre on Tuesday and sweep the season series. The Ducks fell 5-1 to the Calgary Flames at Honda Center Tuesday night. Frank Vatrano scored Anaheim’s lone goal (PPG) at 7:26 of the second period, his fourth PPG of the season and 17th overall. Jakob Silfverberg recorded his 13th assist, marking 1-4=5 points his last nine games. Max Comtois also tallied an assist on the goal, his ninth assist of the season and fifth point his last six games (2-3=5). Nikita Nesterenko made his NHL debut, collecting four shots in 13:06 TOI. TONIGHT’S GAME: The Anaheim Ducks continue an eight-game homestand spanning 16 days tonight vs .the Winnipeg Jets at Honda Center (7 p.m. PT, TV: Bally Sports West AUDIO: Ducks Stream). Anaheim enters tonight with points in four of the last seven contests (2-3-2), nine of their last 13 games (6-4-3) and 10 of the last 15 overall (6-5-4). The Ducks have also earned points in 14 of the last 23 games overall (10-9-4) and are 11-10-5 the last 26 contests. Since the NHL’s holiday break, Anaheim has posted a 14-16-6 record overall, while going 7-5-4 on the road in that span.
