TONIGHT’S GAME
The Capitals visit the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday at Wells Fargo for the second of four meetings between the teams this season. Wednesday’s contest marks the sixth game (2-2-1) of a season-long six-game road trip for Washington. The Capitals overcame a one-goal deficit in the third period to defeat the Flyers 3-2 in overtime on Nov. 23 at Capital One Arena. It marked Washington’s third win this season when trailing after two periods, which is tied for the third most in the NHL. Marcus Johansson and Sonny Milano scored in regulation for Washington, while Alex Ovechkin scored his 25th career overtime goal to give the Capitals the victory. Washington is 96-110-19-11 all-time versus Philadelphia and 14-7-0 in their last 21 games against the Flyers dating back to the 2018-19 season. • Charlie Lindgren stopped 28 of 30 shots faced on Monday at Edmonton, including 26 of 27 shots at five-on-five (.963).
• In addition, Lindgren stopped all three high-danger shots against at five-on-five on Monday and was credited with 1.95 goals saved above average, per Natural Stat Trick.
• Lindgren improved to 2-0 against the Oilers this season, the NHL’s eighth-highest scoring team.

• Carter Hart stopped 29-of-32 shots Monday night to earn his eighth win of the season. The win also marked his first career win against Colorado.
• Monday’s contest was Hart’s 70th career victory to become the 11th goaltender in Flyers history to reach 70-plus wins (NHL Stats).
• The backstop has seen 30-plus shots in 12 of his 19 games this season – he is 7-1-4 in those contests.
