Game 2 Recap
April 20 – Vegas Golden Knights 5, Winnipeg Jets 2
Mark Stone’s three-point performance (2G, 1A) propelled the Vegas Golden Knights to a 5-2 win against the Winnipeg Jets in Game 2
on Thursday night at T-Mobile Arena. Winnipeg held the lead after 20 minutes as Adam Lowry scored his third goal of the series to give
the Jets a 1-0 lead. William Karlsson and Jack Eichel scored back-to-back goals to give Vegas its first lead, but a late second period
goal from Kevin Stenlund tied the game heading into the third. Early in the final frame, Chandler Stephenson slipped a shot past
Connor Hellebuyck to put the Golden Knights back in front, 3-2. Stone took over late in the game as his two goals sealed the seriestying 5-2 victory for Vegas.
VGK/WPG – Regular Season Recap
The Vegas Golden Knights owned a 3-0-0 advantage against the Winnipeg Jets during the 2022-23 regular season. The clubs began
the season series with two contests at T-Mobile Arena just 10 days apart. In their first meeting, Jack Eichel tallied his first multi-goal
game of the season to lead the Golden Knights to a dominant 5-2 win over the Jets. In their next matchup, Eichel was the overtime hero
as he snuck the puck past Connor Hellebuyck to send the Vegas crowd to a frenzy. In their final meeting at Canada Life Centre, Mark
Stone and Jonathan Marchessault each had two goals to help Vegas power past Winnipeg despite Mark Scheifele’s late hat trick.
Winnipeg was one of 10 NHL teams that Vegas swept during the regular season.

Recap: The Winnipeg Jets scored the game’s first goal for the second consecutive time to begin the series, but allowed three third-period goals in a 5-2 Game 2 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights. Adam Lowry opened the scoring in the first period to score in both games of the series. Neal Pionk and Nate Schmidt assisted Lowry’s goal to have assists in both games of the series. Kyle Connor tied a franchise playoff record with eight shots in the game. Goaltender Connor Hellebuyck made 34 saves in the contest as the Jets were outshot 39-33.
