PREDS ADD McDONAGH, NIEDERREITER
− Nashville bolstered its roster over the offseason by adding defenseman Ryan McDonagh and forward Nino Niederrieter. McDonagh arrived via trade with Tampa Bay on July 3; Niederreiter signed as a free agent on July 21.
− A two-time Stanley Cup champion, McDonagh helped lead the Lightning to the Stanley Cup Final for the third consecutive season in 2021-22. The former New York Rangers captain has skated in 185 career postseason games, 30 more than the

− Roman Josi, a finalist for the Norris Trophy and Ted Lindsay Award, led NHL defensemen and was tied for 11th in the NHL in points with 96 (23g-73a) in 2021-22. He broke the franchise record for points in a season, previously held by Paul Kariya in 2005-06 (85).
− He established career highs in goals (23), assists (73) and points (96). His 23 goals were the second-most among NHL blueliners; he was fifth among all NHL skaters in assists.
− He became just the eighth blueliner in NHL history to record at least 96 points in a season and the first since Phil Housley in 1992-93.

− Juuse Saros was a finalist for the Vezina Trophy after finishing third in the NHL in wins with 38, a career high and the fourth-most in a season in Predators history. Saros, who was named an All-Star for the first time in his career, also led NHL goaltenders in minutes played (3,931:23) and starts (67); both were the fourth-most in a season in team history.
− Mikael Granlund had 53 assists, a career high. He became the second center and fifth skater in franchise history to reach the 50-assist mark in a season.
− Ryan Johansen tallied at least 60 points for the sixth time in his NHL career; his 26 goals were his most since also tallying 26 in 2014-15. Johansen scored a career high 11 power-play goals and closed out the regular season with 27 points (13g-14a) in his last 30 games.
