THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW
• Tonight is Seattle’s last of seven consecutive games that they will play on the road. Their seven-game road trip is their longest such stretch of the season.

o The team’s current stretch of seven road games are the most consecutive games they have played on the road in franchise history.

• Tonight’s game is the second of three that the Kraken will play against the Blackhawks this season and the final one that will be played in Chicago. The teams will next meet on April 8 in Seattle.

• The Kraken enter tonight’s game just two wins shy from matching their total (27) from the 2021-22 season.

• Since Jan. 1, the Kraken have five players playing at a point-per-game pace: Vince Dunn (1.57), Matty Beniers (1.29), Yanni Gourde (1.14), Andre Burakovsky (1.00) and Jordan Eberle (1.00).

• Yanni Gourde has totaled eight points (two goals, six assists) in his last seven games and enters tonight’s game riding a three-game point streak.

• An assist tonight would give Oliver Bjorkstrand an assist in three consecutive games, matching his career high that he has reached on four other occasions.

• Jaden Schwartz has six points (two goals, four assists) in his last six games played.

• Jamie Oleksiak’s next point will be the 100th of his NHL career. He is set to become the seventh defenseman from the 2011 NHL Draft class to reach the milestone.

NEW YEAR, NEW RECORD
• The Kraken enter tonight’s game having won seven consecutive games dating back to Jan. 1 vs. the New York Islanders.

• After its 3-0 win over Boston on Jan. 12, Seattle is now the only team to have not lost a game in 2023.

• According to NHL Stats, the Kraken are the first team to begin a calendar year with seven consecutive wins since San Jose also won the first seven games they played in 2019. A win tonight would make the Kraken the first team since the 2017-18 Colorado Avalanche to start a calendar year with eight straight wins.

• A win tonight would give the Kraken wins in eight consecutive games and seven consecutive road games, both of which would set a franchise record.

• Additionally, according to NHL Stats, a win tonight would also make the Kraken the first team in NHL history to sweep a road trip that was at least seven games long.

• The team’s seven-game win streak is the longest active streak in the NHL. The Kraken are the only team this season to win at least five consecutive games on three different occasions.

• Since the start of the New Year, the Kraken are leading the league in goals (33) and goals per game (4.71). Entering play Friday, no other team had scored more than 23 goals during that span.

• Since the start of the Kraken’s streak on Jan. 1, Vince Dunn and Matty Beniers are tied for first and third, respectively, in scoring among all NHL skaters. Dunn has 11 points (three goals, eight assists) and Beniers has nine points (five goals, four assists) during that span. Dunn’s eight assists also lead the league during that span.
