FLAMES LAST GAME RECAP
April 10, 2023 – CALGARY FLAMES [2] vs. NASHVILLE PREDATORS 3
The Calgary Flames welcomed the Nashville Predators to the Scotiabank Saddledome on Monday night. Both teams would come out firing with the clubs combining for 25 first period shots but it would be Nashville who would take a 1-0 lead into the intermission thanks to an Egor Afanasyev goal to give the Preds the lead. Calgary would tie the game in the second off a seeing eye shot from Troy Stecher, his third as a Flame and the game was tied through 40. In the third, Nashville scored 4:02 in to retake the lead, but the Flames once again battled back with Mikael Backlund scoring his 19th to tie the game through 60 minutes of play. Overtime would solve nothing, and Nashville would go on to win 3-2 in a shootout.
