added two of his own, but the San Jose Sharks could not hold back the Hurricanes, who used a late push to earn a 5-4 overtime win. Oskar Lindblom (1g, 0a) started the scoring with a redirection of an Evgeny Svechnikov (0g, 1a) shot and Nick Bonino (1g, 0a) scored midway through the third to tie the game at two apiece. Eyssimont’s marker gave San Jose a 3-2 edge and Ferraro added an empty-netter with less than two minutes remaining before a Carolina rally to steal the extra point.
