The Stars punched their ticket to the Stanley Cup Playoffs with a 5-1 victory over the Nashville Predators at American Airlines Center
on April 3. Led by Jason Robertson’s four-point night (1-3—4), the Stars swept the four-game season series between them and the
Predators, outscoring Nashville 17-5. With a goal in the first period, Roope Hintz (35-35—70) became the fourth Stars player to reach
the 70-point mark this season (also Robertson, Jamie Benn & Joe Pavelski). Pavelski’s multi-point game (1-1—2) gave him 996
career points (446-550—996) in 1,245 GP, Tyler Seguin reached the 20-goal mark on the season with a tally in the third period and
defenseman Miro Heiskanen (11-57—68) moved past John Klingberg (67 in 2017-18) for the fifth most points in a season by a
blueliner in franchise history with a two-assist performance. After missing 14 games due to injury, goaltender Scott Wedgewood made
26 saves on 27 shots for his eighth victory of the season (8-8-3).

X GON’ GIVE IT TO YA
- The Stars clinched a berth in the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the second straight year, 18th time since relocating to Dallas in 1993-94 and 35th time in franchise history with a victory over Nashville on April 3. Dallas became the 10th team to clinch a berth in the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
- Dallas is in a three-way battle for the top spot in the Central Division, with all three clubs gridlocked at 98 points (Colorado – 1st place, 76 GP), Dallas (2nd place – 77 GP) and Minnesota (3rd place – 77 GP).
TONIGHT’S GAME: Dallas’ three-game homestand rolls along as the club hosts the Philadelphia Flyers at American Airlines Center (7:30 p.m. CT, TV: Bally Sports Southwest, Radio: The Ticket 96.7-FM/1310-AM). Only three home games remain for the Stars, who punched their ticket to the Stanley Cup Playoffs with a win on Monday against Nashville. Following tonight’s contest, the Stars will host Vegas on Saturday before traveling to Detroit and St. Louis for games April 10 and 12. The Stars will close out the 2022-23 regular season on Thursday, April 13 against the Blues at American Airlines Center.
