OTTAWA SENATORS NOTES:

LAST GAME: Oct. 24, 6-4 loss vs. Buffalo: Skinner and Thompson (who had a game-high three points) both scored twice in pacing the Sabres to a 6-4 win over the Senators at Canadian Tire Centre. Girgensons and Tuch also scored for Buffalo while Chychrun, Joseph, Norris and Tarasenko replied for Ottawa. Joseph’s marker, which brought the home side to within one at 18:58 of the third period after it had trailed by four with less than five minutes to play, was the Senators’ 3,500th goal on home ice and the team’s 6,700th in franchise history. Luukkonen made 34 saves to earn the win in goal for the Sabres. Forsberg made 13 saves on 18 shots through 40 minutes in taking the loss for Ottawa.
