RECAP/NOTES: New York closed out the month of March with an overtime defeat to the Sabres on Friday night. The Blueshirts rallied from a 2-0 deficit to force overtime. By gaining a point, the Rangers extended its point streak against the Sabres to 12 games (10-0-2).
RANGERS RUNDOWN
- The New York Rangers close out the three-game road trip with a matinee against the Washington Capitals in DC (1:00 PM ET – TV: TNT – Radio: ESPN 98.7 FM). The Blueshirts have six more games left in the regular season (three at home, three on road).
- The Blueshirts have clinched a spot in the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs, the 62nd time in team history the they have made the postseason. New York’s 14 playoff appearances since the 2005-06 season are tied for the second most in the NHL.
- With a point, the Rangers will reach the 100-point mark for the 12th time in team history and second consecutive year. Also with a point, the Blueshirts will tie their road point total for last year (52).
