RECAP/NOTES: The Rangers fell in a shootout to the Lightning in their final game of 2022 on Thursday. Mika Zibanejad scored New York’s lone goal, his team-high tying 16th of the season. The Blueshirts recorded 46 shots on goal, tying their season-high previously set on October 25 against Colorado.
RANGERS RUNDOWN
- The New York Rangers face the Florida Panthers in their first game of 2023 in Sunrise on Sunday evening (5:00 PM ET
- TV: MSG Network/NHLN – Radio: ESPN 1050 AM). The Blueshirts play a game on New Year’s Day for the first time since the 2018 Winter Classic and the fourth time since 2003-04.
