The Red Wings added an established goal scorer to their lineup ahead of the 2023-24 season, acquiring forward Alex DeBrincat from the Ottawa Senators in exchange for forward Dominik Kubalík, defenseman Donovan Sebrango, a conditional first-round selection and a fourth-round pick in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft on July 9. The Farmington Hills, Mich., native subsequently signed a four-year contract with an average annual value of $7.875 million.
