New Jersey won a season-high 38 of 60 face-offs (63%) on Tue., Oct. 24th vs Montreal. The last time that the team won 38, or more, face-offs in a game was Mar. 25, 2023, vs Ottawa (39/68, 57.4%). Michael McLeod was 10 of 12 (83.3%) on face-off against Minnesota on Thursday, Nov. 2. New Jersey led the NHL with 26 comeback wins last season, which set a new franchise record. The team passed the 2017-18 team’s 23 comeback wins, which was the previous franchise record in a single season. Per NHL Pr, the most comeback wins in a single season for NHL history is shared by the Panthers (29 in 2021-22) and Lightning (29 in 2018-19).
