New Jersey won a season-high 38 of 60 face-offs (63%) on Tue., Oct. 24th vs Montreal. The last time that the team won 38, or more, face-offs in a game was Mar. 25, 2023, vs Ottawa (39/68, 57.4%). Michael McLeod was 10 of 12 (83.3%) on face-off against Minnesota on Thursday, Nov. 2. Yet, the highest face-off percentage that a Devils skater logged this season (10 or more in a GP) was 86.7%, after McLeod won 13 of 15 face-offs against Montreal on Oct. 24. The Devils rank seventh in the NHL for overall face-off percentage (53.4%, per Nov. 4). McLeod ranked sixth in the NHL for overall face-off percentage (61.4%, per Nov. 4). COMEBACK KIDS
New Jersey led the NHL with 26 comeback wins last season, which set a new franchise record. The team passed the 2017-18 team’s 23 comeback wins, which was the previous franchise record in a single season. Per NHL Pr, the most comeback wins in a single season for NHL history is shared by the Panthers (29 in 2021-22) and Lightning (29 in 2018-19).

The Blackhawks earned their second multi-goal comeback win of the season on Friday against Vegas, tying the Maple Leafs for the most among all teams … Chicago is the second team in NHL history to end a team’s seven-game win streak to begin a season via multi-goal comeback win … The only other instance was in 1985-86 when the Islanders ended the Nordiques’ 7-0-0 run … The team also overcame a two-goal deficit against the Penguins en route to a 4-2 win on Oct. 10 … Last season, the Blackhawks recorded eight multi-goal comeback wins, good for second in the NHL … Of those eight, the team rallied from multiple goals in the third period three times, which was tied for third in the League … It’s the first time Chicago has earned three multi-goal, third-period comeback wins since the 2019-20 season, when they also posted three … The Blackhawks recorded three consecutive multi-goal comeback wins from Oct. 15 – 23 last season for the team’s first three wins of 2022-23 … Chicago became the ninth team in NHL history to post three or more consecutive multi-goal comeback wins, and the first since Detroit did so during the 2018-19 season … Additionally, the Blackhawks were the fourth team in NHL history to overcome a multi-goal deficit in each of their first three wins of a season, joining St. Louis (3 GP in 2006-07), Detroit (3 GP in 1990-91) and the New York Islanders (3 GP in 1985-86).
