LAST GAME: Jan. 7, 8-4 loss vs. Seattle: The Kraken scored eight goals for a league-high third time this season to register the franchise’s first win at Canadian Tire Centre. Stützle provided a hat-trick for the home side (as part of a career high equaling four-point night) to become the second skater in franchise history to record multiple three-goal games before the age of 21. The Kraken saw 13 of their 18 skaters record at least one point paced by Eberle and Burakovsky who both recorded one goal, two assist games. Bjorkstrand, McCann, Schultz, Sprong, Beniers and Dunn also found the back of the net for the visitors as Seattle improved to 12-4-2 on the road this season. Tkachuk had the additional goal for Ottawa. Grubauer earned the win for Seattle in making 19 saves. Forsberg began the game and allowed three goals on five shots before being replaced by Talbot who took the loss for Ottawa in turning aside 14 shots.
