WE’RE HEADED TO OVERTIME
• Since the start of the 2021-22 season, Minnesota leads the NHL with 17 overtime victories.

• During the 2021-22 season, the Wild ranked second in the NHL with a franchise record 11 overtime wins and ranked tied for second with five shootout wins.

• Minnesota went 16-7 in 23 extra session games during the 2021-22 season – its most extra session contests since 23 in 2013-14. The 16 extra session wins are the second-most in team history (17 in 2006-07).

GOALS, GOALS, GOALS
• Minnesota has scored three-plus goals in 28 of its last 30 regular-season contests, including all six games this season and 22 of the last 24 games of the 2021-22 campaign.

• Dating dating back to March 16, 2022, the Wild have posted a +26 goal differential in regular-season games, tied for the third-best mark in the NHL during that span.

• Mats Zuccarello (4-6=10) is tied for seventh in the NHL in scoring this season.

• Zuccarello recorded a point in each of the first five games to start the 2022-23 campaign. Only four other skaters in Wild history have posted such a streak to open a season:

• Minnesota went 22-14-5 on the road last season, reaching 20-plus road wins in a season for the fifth time in franchise history.

• Minnesota’s 49 road points in 2021-22 ranked third in franchise history:

• The Wild scored three-plus goals and has held opponents to two goals or less in 15 of its 21 road wins during the 2021-22 season.

ON THE POWER PLAY
• Through six games the Wild has converted eight of its 25 powerplay opportunities (32.0 pct.), currently the fourth-best rate in the league.

• Minnesota’s eight power play goals also ranks second in the NHL, trailing only Colorado (nine).

• Minnesota recorded a power-play goal in each of its first five games of the 2022-23 season, the franchise’s longest powerplay goal streak to open a season since a franchise-best six-game streak in 2010-11.

Ottawa Senators Notes:

LAST GAME: Oct. 24, 4-2 win vs. Dallas: Ottawa scored three third period goals to hand Dallas their first regulation time loss of the season and start a campaign 4-0-0 at home for the first time since 2005-06 with a 4-2 win at Canadian Tire Centre. It was the Senators’ fourth consecutive victory over the Stars. After being named the NHL’s Second Star of the Week earlier in the day, Tkachuk had his fourth consecutive multi-point game (one goal, one assist) – one short of the franchise record. The home side also realized markers from Chabot, Pinto (who became the first Senators rookie skater to score in at least five consecutive contests) and Brassard (who found the back of the net for Ottawa for the first time in 1,705 days – the fourth longest stretch in club history). Kiviranta and Johnston replied for Dallas. Hellberg earned his first win with the Senators (and became the first goalie in NHL history to record his first three wins with three different teams) by way of turning aside 29 shots while Wedgewood took the loss for Dallas in making 28 saves. WHAT’S NEXT: Ottawa opens a two-game road trip at Florida on Saturday at 4 p.m. The contest will mark the first of three regular-season meetings and the first of two matchups at FLA Live Arena.

INJURY REPORT: C Norris and G Talbot are on IR and will not oppose the Wild this evening. G Forsberg missed Monday evening’s game with a lower-body injury. Total man-games lost: 8.
