GOLDEN KNIGHTS LAST GAME RECAP
April 4 – Vegas Golden Knights 2, Nashville Predators 3 OT
The Vegas Golden Knights (48-22-8) were taken down by the Nashville Predators (39-30-8), 3-2, on Tuesday night at Bridgestone Arena. In the opening period, Tommy Novak scored two goals for the Predators, giving them a 2-0 lead. Alex Pietrangelo then tied the game 2-2 in the second, scoring two goals seven minutes apart. Cody Glass scored the overtime winner to secure the 3-2 victory for Nashville.

LAST GAME BY THE NUMBERS

  • Pietrangelo’s two-goal game was his first as a Golden Knight and eighth of his career
  • Pietrangelo registered nine shots on goal against Nashville, his highest total as a Golden Knight and the second most in his career (10 SOG Nov. 28, 2014)
  • Jack Eichel’s assist on Pietrangelo’s second goal extends his assist streak to seven games, tied for the second-longest assist streak by a Golden Knights player
  • With the point in overtime, the Golden Knights increased their season total to 104, their highest total since the inaugural 2017-18 season (109 points)

Keeping it One Hundred
Vegas reached 100 points for the second time in franchise history on April 1 after defeating Minnesota at home. This is the first time the club has reached the century mark since their inaugural season in 2017-18, and they were the first team in the Western Conference to hit 100 points this season.

Dancing Knights
For the fifth time in six seasons, the Golden Knights have clinched a berth in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. With Nashville’s loss to Pittsburgh on Mar. 30, Vegas became the first team in the Pacific Division and the Western Conference to have its postseason spot secured.

Against the Kings
The contest between the Golden Knights and the Kings on Thursday is the fourth and final this season. The last time these teams met, Los Angeles handed Vegas their first loss of 2023 at 5-1 on Jan. 7. Kevin Fiala’s hat trick and Matt Roy’s shorthanded goal overpowered the Golden Knights as Jonathan Marchessault was the lone goal scorer for the club to end Pheonix Copley’s shutout bid. Vegas will look to level the season series as the club currently trails 1-2-0 against Los Angeles.
