The Stars snapped a two-game losing streak with a 5-1 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers at Wells Fargo Center on Sunday. Forward Joe Pavelski (1-2—3) and defenseman Esa Lindell (1-2—3) led the way with three points apiece, forwards Roope Hintz (0-1—1) and Jason Robertson (1-1—2) extended their respective point streaks to eight consecutive games, and goaltender Jake Oettinger delivered a 37-save effort to lift Dallas to its ninth victory of the season (9-5-1, 19 points). Lindell’s three-point effort tied his career high for points in a game (most recent: Jan. 3, 2020 vs. DET), while Pavelski’s goal placed him in a tie with Bill Guerin (429) for eighth place all-time in goals among U.S.-born skaters. The Stars struck twice on three opportunities with the man advantage, boosting their power play percentage to 30.4% (third-best in the NHL). Dallas also went 6-for-6 on the penalty kill, improving its PK success rate to 85.3% (third-best in the league). Forward Luke Glendening (1-0—1) tallied his first shorthanded goal as a member of the Stars (fifth career SHG) to give the club three shorthanded markers on the season (also Hintz and Joel Kiviranta).

TONIGHT’S GAME: The Stars’ three-game road trip continues on Tuesday against the Tampa Bay Lightning at Amalie Arena (6 p.m. CT, TV: Bally Sports Southwest Extra, Radio: The Ticket 96.7-FM/1310-AM). This is the first of two games against the Lightning and the Stars’ lone visit to Tampa. The Stars went 1-1-0 against the Lightning last season, their lone victory a 1-0 shutout on April 12 in Dallas. These clubs will meet once more on Feb. 11, 2023 at American Airlines Center. Dallas will wrap up its road trip against Florida on Thursday.

- Robertson’s eight-game point streak is one game shy of his career best of nine straight (April 13-27, 2021).

- On Sunday against Philadelphia, forward Joe Pavelski recorded his fifth multi-point game (1-2—3) of the season and 41st since joining the Stars in 2019-20.
- Only two Stars have notched more multi-point games for the franchise than Pavelski over that span: Roope Hintz (45) and Robertson (44).
- At 38 years of age, Pavelski is the first player since Martin St. Louis in 2013-14 (6 in 15 GP at age 38) to start a season at age 38 or older and post 5+ multi-point games through their first 15 games played of a season. It marks the 14th instance of it occurring overall, with Gordie Howe accounting for three of the previous 13 times it has happened.

- Since Nov. 1, Benn has registered 11 points (6-5—11), placing him in a tie for fifth-most in the league over that span.

- Benn’s primary assist on the power play on Nov. 3 against Arizona game him five primary helpers with the man advantage in the 2022-23 season – his most since 2016-17 when he set a career high with 10 primary assists on the PP in 77 GP.
- The 33-year-old shares third in goals (6), is tied for fourth in assists (8) and ranks fourth on the team in points (6-8—14) in 15 GP.
- He also ranks second on the club in faceoff win percentage (61.2%), ranks second in faceoffs taken (147) and faceoff wins (90) and shares fourth in hits (20).

- Rookie forward Wyatt Johnston potted his fourth goal of the season on Nov. 3 against the Coyotes. The only rookies with more are Ottawa’s Shane Pinto (8) and Seattle’s Matty Beniers (5).
- At 19 years, 173 days, he became the first teenager in Stars/North Stars history (1967-present) to record a three-game goal streak on the road with his goal on Nov. 3 at Arizona. The last teenager to have a longer road run was Carolina’s Andrei Svechnikov (4 GP in 2019-20).
- With a goal (1-0—1) on Oct. 25 against Boston, Johnston became the third youngest player in Dallas Stars history (1993-present) to score in consecutive games. Johnston followed Valeri Nichushkin (2 GP in 2013-14) and Miro Heiskanen (2x in 2018-10, both 2 GP).
- With a goal (1-0—1) in the season opener on Oct. 13, forward Johnston became the youngest player in Dallas Stars history (1993-present) to score a goal in his NHL debut (19 years, 151 days) and second youngest in franchise history (1967-present) with at least one goal in his NHL debut, behind Dave Archibald (18 years, 179 days on Oct. 10, 1987).
