Defenseman Ryan Suter (1-0—1) scored the long goal for Dallas in a 3-1 defeat to the Vancouver Canucks at American Airlines Center. Forwards Tyler Seguin (0-1—1) and Ty Dellandrea (0-1—1) tallied assists for the Stars, who went winless in three games against the Canucks this season (0-2-1). Making his third career start, rookie goaltender Matt Murray made 21 saves on 24 shots. Forward Joel Kiviranta led all skaters with seven hits in 9:10 TOI and defenseman Miro Heiskanen logged a game-high 26:40 TOI.

TONIGHT’S GAME: The Stars hit the road for three games beginning this evening against the Chicago Blackhawks at United Center (7:30 p.m. CT, TV: Bally Sports Southwest, Radio: The Ticket 96.7-FM/1310-AM). This is the fourth and final meeting between the two clubs this season, which has seen the Stars take two of the first three games (2-1-0). Following tonight’s game, the Stars will face Arizona on Friday and Colorado on Saturday.
